We're excited to help you set up and start showcasing your inventory to the world. Let's walk through the first steps to get your site up and running. Remember, we're here to assist you every step of the way, so don't hesitate to reach out if you need help!
Step 1: Enter Your Dealer Code
- Log into your site: Start by logging into your BarnDealer site with the credentials provided in your welcome email. Once logged in, enter your Dealer Code and Business Name. This simple step helps us link your profile with your assigned inventory, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
NOTE: If your dealer code is already entered you can proceed to the next step!
Step 2: Set Up Your Business Details
NOTE: This step may be completed for your as well! Just be sure to double check all of the details!
Click on Business Details
Enter business details: Fill in your business information thoroughly. Accuracy here is key to a professional appearance.
Address formatting: To make sure customers can find you easily, google search your business address and copy the format exactly as it appears on Google—no extra details like "behind the gas station" or "near Taco Bell." We see this often and these tend to confuse search engines and could mislead your customers.
NOTE: When inputing your address information into the Business Details section, input your address exactly as Google lists your address. For example, if Google lists your address as:
123 Main St, Suite 200, Mainland, IL 62701
Then you should enter the address that same way into your Business Details section, and do not deviate like follows:
123 Main Street, Suite #200, Mainland, IL 62701
- Scroll all the way to the bottom of your Business Details page to add the content that shows up on your 'About Us' section. This page introduces your business to potential customers. Keep it simple yet informative: Mention your location and your reason for doing business.
Step 3. Inventory
1. View Inventory: Navigate to the "Buildings" section to see all inventory associated with your Dealer Code.
2. Mark on sale: Click the check box under "On Sale" to list an item as on sale, then input the sales price in the corresponding adjacent box.
3. Feature an inventory item on your homepage: Click the check box under "Featured" to highlight that inventory item on your homepage in addition to showing up on your inventory page.
4. If you logged into your facebook, you can also automatically post the building to Facebook using the facebook share button!
